How does Makara execute orders?

At Makara we make every effort to execute all buy/sell orders as soon as possible after submission. Makara's trading engine registers all trading events throughout the day and executes them at the next available trade window. Makara will occasionally intervene in trades to deploy assets manually if special attention is required to protect client assets, ensure there is appropriate liquidity in the market, or to avoid slippage.

We currently have one trade window per day. All trading activity in the preceding 24 hour period will be completed during this window and your portfolio will update after the window has closed.

New Deposits (USD)

USD deposited into your account via ACH or wire transfer will be held in the account until the next available trade window. After the trade window these funds will be deployed into your portfolio according to your basket allocations.

New Deposits (Crypto)

BTC or ETH deposited into your account via crypto transfer will also be held in the account until the next available trade window. After the trade window these funds will be deployed into your portfolio according to your basket allocations.

Both USD and crypto deposits will show up in your Makara App on the Assets tab. Example:

Portfolio Changes

Withdrawals

All withdrawals are registered for trade at the next available trade window. For more information on withdrawals see our FAQ How do withdrawals work?
